Subject: Board of Assessment Appeals Final Meeting and Summary of Changes.
The Board of Assessment Appeals is pleased to submit the following report concerning their meetings for the 2010 through 2011 fiscal calendar year.
The Board of Assessment Appeals met for their fall session September 9th, 15th, and 18th 2010 for the purposes of motor vehicle assessment appeals.
There were a total of 30 appeals submitted and 26 adjustments were made.
The Board of Assessment Appeals met for their spring session March 8th, 15th, 17th, and 29th with final deliberation on March 29, 2011 for the purpose of assessment appeals.
There were a total of 193 appeals, which resulted in the following actions:
The following are dispositions on Real Estate:
126 Real Estate appeals were heard with:
98 Real Estate with an assessment change
28 Real Estate without an assessment change
The following are dispositions on Personal Property
67 appeals were heard with:
61 Personal Property were heard with an assessment change
6 Personal Property were heard without an assessment change
